Erick W Steelman

Erick Steelman is the first CTIO of the El Monte Union High School District, a district servicing approximately 8,500 students in 8 schools and one of the largest Adult Schools in the state (13,000). In his current role, he oversees a team of 13 and is responsible for leading the district’s “Access for All” 1:1 initiative, maintaining/enhancing the district’s ubiquitous network, and classroom education technology integration.

Erick is a California IT in Education (CITE) Certified Chief Technology Officer and is also a current CITE Director at Large on their executive board. He has co-led the CITE Regional Group for the Award-Winning San Gabriel Valley Technology Exchange over the last decade and also has served on the Joint Ed Tech (JET) review committee in collaboration with CITE & CUE. Erick is also a Certified Chief Business Official through the CASBO Business Executive Leadership (BEL) program, where he also serves as an instructor.

Erick enjoys living in West Covina with his beautiful fiance, along with their 5 boys and a Sheprador (Duke), who is the baby of the family. His hobbies include whatever Duke wants, baseball (Dodgers), and DIY projects around the house.
