FAQs
A: Team Memberships were added to address several needs: A simple and economic way to provide equitable access to CITE Member benefits for team members at all career levels – building a strong bench of knowledgeable professionals and future leaders to support California’s schools. Allows for an easy process for administration of membership, one annual invoice and one approval process vs. multiple small invoices. Allows the Local Educational Agency (LEA) to maintain/swap out named members if a staff member leaves. Gives another option for those that traditionally paid for membership as part of their CITE Conference registration.
A: Individual Memberships are $145/year and Team Memberships for 1-2 individuals are also $145/year, which makes transitioning to a team membership no more expensive, while providing the ability to add another person at no extra charge if needed.
A: You are welcome to pay for your membership and Conference Registration at the same time – just chose the Education Plus pass/ticket type. Those on Team Membership can choose the discounted Education pass / ticket to the Conference, which does not include the fee to renew membership. As many LEA’s cannot send their entire staff to the CITE Conference each year, team membership connects IT Teams to CITE’s Year Round Benefits even on years when individuals are not able to attend the conference.
A: Join other community groups through your Member Compass > Additional Interest Groups.
A: If you have an Educational account, you can post a job on the CITE online communities’ platform. Go to https://community.cite.org/ > Click the "Create +" button at the top right of the page > Job > Fill in the information in the fields.
If you want the job posting to be accessible to all CITE Community members, leave the “Post under” dropdown blank. If you only want the post to be accessible only to a specific group, such as a CITE Regional Group, select the group from the "Post under" dropdown (please do not use "CITE Announcements"), and check the box for "Private".
