Staff Spotlight: Myra Whittington

Myra Whittington has joined CITE as an Event Coordinator. She brings extensive experience in education administration, event logistics, and supporting organizations in building engaged communities. Myra is from Pasadena, California, and is a proud alumna of California State University, Los Angeles.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I truly enjoy being in nature. Spending time at the beach, weekly hikes in the foothills of Los Angeles and weekend trips to the desert are some of my favorite things to do. It is a goal of mine to visit all of the National Parks.

What sparked your interest about working for CITE?:

I have a passion for both education and technology. I understand that technology is a major part of childhood education, so being able to contribute to the great work CITE is doing was very appealing to me.

What excites you most about your new role here at CITE?:

What excites me most about my new role is the annual conference! I love large scale events! Being able to help ensure that CITE members have a wonderful experience is exciting to me.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?:

Most people might be surprised to learn that I love 90s tv shows. I'm not kidding, ask me anything about a 90s/early 2000s sitcom and I bet I know the answer.
