Below are resources for the CITE community to address compliance with state and federal student data privacy requirements, including California Education Code 49073.1 (aka AB1584), Student Online Personal Information Protection Act (SOPIPA), Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Children’s Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA), while also addressing emerging regulations and evolving risks, such as the use of AI in education.

Self-Serve Access to California Student Privacy Alliance (CSPA)
On behalf of all schools in the State of California, CITE provides membership/account access for Access 4 Learning Community's Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) registry. This resource allows local educational agencies to quickly see which vendors have signed a California National Data Privacy Agreement (CA-NDPA) with at least one school. It’s a self‑service tool designed to support compliance and help IT teams make informed decisions.
