CITE's New Online Communities are Here!

Posted By: Touda Bentatou CITE News,

We're excited to announce that CITE's new Online Communities are here! We can't wait for you to login and start exploring new features.

CITE's communities are crucial for the CITE community to connect anytime, anywhere. Whether you're working on a project and need a sample RFP or you run into an issue and could use advice, the CITE Online Communities are here for you. We've created a brief overview video and when you login, you will find helpful documentation to get you started. Below you'll find more important information about the major features.

Discussions

Similarly to our previous Online Community provider, users will still be able to post and reply to discussions via email or on the web version of the Online Communities. On the web version, you can tag any posts. This will make it easier for us to identify resources related to a specific subject and add to a collection.

Groups

By default, everyone is added to their local Regional Group Community based on their county and the CITE Announcements Community. Paid CITE members are automatically added to the CITE Member Community (formerly the CITE_EDU community).

  • The CITE Member Community is an open forum for members to post important information, seek guidance and support, ask questions, and more
  • The CITE Announcements Community will be the hub for upcoming event posts, how to guides, CITE program announcements, and all things CITE related
  • Your Regional Group Community is where you can connect with local colleagues and find Regional Group Meeting information.

We've recently added a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging group that is open to anyone to join if they would like to discuss topics around DEIB, including discussion around Women in Tech (WIT).

Connecting with Others

Connect with other members of the CITE Community by using the Connect link in the navigation. You can find other members, view their profile information, follow them, and send direct messages.

Knowledge Center (Collections)

In the Knowledge Center, you'll find collections. Collections are groups of discussion posts, documents, and resources. We will continue to add new resources to collections as time goes on. This will include everything from job descriptions to resources for specific topics, and more!

Jobs

A job portal is built into the Online Communities where users can post and browse job openings. You can also link a job posting to a community so that it will show on the job board and the community to attract even more applicants!

We've created documentation that is available on the Dashboard that shows you how to use all of the new features. Login today to start using CITE's new Online Communities!
