The CTO Mentor Program (CTOM) applications for the 2026 Cohort is open June 3 - September 2, 2025! Aspiring or current CTOs are encouraged to apply.
The CITE Certified CTO Mentor Program produces qualified California school district CTOs. The program raises the bar for technology leaders and creates a community of support through mentorship and collaboration. The program also seeks to inform Superintendents and District Leaders of the importance of a cabinet level CTO position.
The program is managed and sponsored by CITE and supported by the California Department of Education (CDE), the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT), and California County Superintendents.
Both the application and nomination are due by September 2nd.
The CTO Mentor program requires an application and nomination, which will determine placement for a limited number of spots. To support a complete and compelling application we have the following supports available:
