Kristy Espino

Kristy Espino currently services as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Glendora Unified School District in Glendora, California. She began her career in education as a classroom teacher. As a teacher, she was involved in critical decision-making discussions related to important topics including hiring, curriculum adoption, vertical articulation, and technology integration. After 13 years in the classroom, Kristy accepted an assistant principal position and subsequent principalship. During the COVID pandemic, Kristy was tapped to lead the District’s transition to distance learning. Her strategic approach, relational capacity, and commitment to innovation made her the ideal choice for her current role as CTO, where she leads technology initiatives to support the district’s mission. Kristy’s academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in American Studies from Cal State Fullerton, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, Irvine, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Cal Poly Pomona.
